1. Wardrobes are needless

    9. Nov, 2008

Changes are awesome, especially if changes apply to my room. E.g.: new furniture, new images, new gadgets or just a shift of furniture arrangement. I had this incessant desire to shift my arrangement during the last two days, so I finally put this into action.

Of course there’re a lot of criteria to consider, so the best way to start your modification is by building up a small model of your room and furniture and moving the little pieces around. By doing this, I came to the conclusion that my wardrobe is needless – this is a pretty male statement, isn’t it? Wardrobes are big and bulky. Okay, there are a few suits in it, which of course needs a hanger and a rail, but by including the frequency of wearing, those suits don’t have the right to be in my room. A standard commode will be more than sufficient for my shirts and trousers. Simple and easy: I’ve to get loose of my wardrobe and find a new place for my suits!
Said, done, at least in my model…

  3. Yamaha NS-F700… a dream

Yesterday I’ve got the chance to have a look at the new Yamaha NS-F700 speakers. Although piano lack products are awesome and the greatest things on planet, the NS-F700 looks even better than any other piano lack product I’ve ever seen before, aside from real pianos maybe.
Certainly I didn’t rely on the look, I’ve also listened to the speakers (just for a short moment due a lack of time). As an amplifier I used a NAD and in comparison to the Yamaha speakers I took some B&Ws, can’t remember the name right now.
The Yamahas were spacious and much clearer than B&W’s, also in the field of low frequencies the Yamahas were convincing, besides the B&Ws sounds quite muted. I’ll definitely have a closer look on those gorgeous speakers.

A few details about the “NS-F700”:
    Weight: 25kg
    Dimensions: 23 x 100 x 35 cm
    Frequency response: 45 Hz–50 kHz

Think I’ve already found a christmas gift for myself…
